Although very durable it probably is not the best idea in the world to leave your wicker garden furniture outdoors all of the time. Wind, rain, snow, dirt and sun can take a serious toll on your wicker outdoor patio furniture. Every now and then it is a good idea to bring your furniture inside and away from the elements. If you are in a snow climate do you use your outdoor furniture that often? If not it is probably a good idea to not leave it outside.
Reed, willow, bamboo and rattan are very durable. However, they are not indestructible. With enough time your fabulous looking wicker furniture will be turned into a rotted, broken down, junky piece of furniture that will uncomfortable and uninviting. The great thing about wicker furniture is that it is not that heavy. You can move them pretty easily. It is not like moving a heavy armoire.
Another great thing about wicker furniture is that it is not that expensive. If you don’t feel like moving furniture in and out of your house and have the funds to replace your outdoor patio furniture every so often then don’t worry about it. For some the hassle of moving the furniture is not worth the cost of buying new furniture every few years.
Down in Florida if you leave your white wicker furniture outdoors all of the time it will eventually stop being white. With enough time and moisture there is a good chance mold and mildew will form. This is a common problem in temperate climates.
